This year the Crieff fields were transitioned from corn and soya beans to oats and hay. Yesterday the oats were taken off and bailed - it was an exciting day! Now we hope for a good rain that will give the hay a chance to grow.
When we hear of the storms and rains in other parts of Canada and compare with the drought in this area of Ontario, we again are in awe of the expanse and differences within our country. We also are aware of the stresses that our farmers experience as they work long hours doing all they can for successful crops while at the same time knowing that much is out of their hands. Lord hear our prayers for our farmers.
