Chef Damien Ingrao
Damien Ingrao began work at Crieff Hills in the spring of 2019. He studied at the Northern Alberta School of Technology and is a certified Red Seal chef.
Damien’s earliest culinary influence was the simple, rustic food prepared by his grandmother and he has fond childhood memories of a busy kitchen filled with the delicious aromas of cooking and preserving. His Italian heritage still informs his seasonal and down-to-earth style of cooking.
Damien is at home in this part of the province, having grown up in Cambridge before working in a variety of local restaurants. One of the most formative environments of his career was at Langdon Hall in Cambridge, Ontario where he worked for three years. There he learned about cooking fresh, beautiful meals straight from the garden. He brings that same farm to table approach to Crieff Hills.
For more than seven years, Damien was a Culinary Arts instructor, teaching students the basics of cooking, pastry arts and kitchen leadership. He also founded Cooks on Call, a thriving company that specializes in last minute event and catering staff for Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.
